Slippery Rock Rugby has once again asserted its dominance in collegiate 7s, capturing the Men’s Division III National Championship by shutting out Denver 17-0 in a hard-fought final led by MVP Zach Herrington, who earned his second consecutive All-Tournament Team nod and steered Slippery Rock to their second 7s national title in three years. Their impressive journey included a convincing 27-7 semifinal victory over Richmond, while Denver earned their final spot with a tight 15-2 win against Springfield. Individual brilliance also shone brightly as VMI's Caleb Chandler and Montana's Patrick Brennan shared top scorer honors, each tallying an impressive 41 points from five tries and eight conversions. Beyond the main event, Richmond secured third place 33-10 over Springfield, Montana claimed the Plate with a 28-17 victory against Loyola (MD), and VMI won the Bowl 19-5 against Nichols State.
